If you are coming from another Seashore Stamper's blog, welcome. This month's theme are the colours red and white. Since Canada Day is just around the corner, I decided to make a card using the Ruffled embossing folder that I had purchased earlier this year yet had never used. Recently I saw a card that had created a layer of ruffles and it reminded me of a flag waving in the wind. So, for my card, I used Real Red for the card base. I then cut a piece of Shimmery White cardstock to 4 x 5-1/4 inches and did a red watercolour wash to create the flag colours. As you can see from the image, I easily stacked four plates. ‘Bake’ for 45-60 minutes. Remove everything from the oven and place on a protective surface. Reassemble the stack. It's important to keep everything the way it was in the oven duing the cooling period. Once cool unwrap the acrylic plates...

Did you know that December is the most popular month for engagements with August being the most popular month for weddings. And if you are interested in other wedding related FAQs, take a look at this interesting site. Several members of our Seashore Stampers group participated in our monthly card swap and created some beautiful wedding cards for our meeting on July 21. Some of those ladies will be participating in this month blog hop so you will be able to see their creations here as well as mine. So, let me explain why there are two cards. My first idea was to create interlocking hearts using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits. Well, for whatever reason, after cutting about six of the hearts, I started to struggle getting the p...
