Seashore Stampers Blog Hop - Red & White Theme
If you are coming from another Seashore Stamper's blog, welcome. This month's theme are the colours red and white. Since Canada Day is just around the corner, I decided to make a card using the Ruffled embossing folder that I had purchased earlier this year yet had never used. Recently I saw a card that had created a layer of ruffles and it reminded me of a flag waving in the wind. So, for my card, I used Real Red for the card base. I then cut a piece of Shimmery White cardstock to 4 x 5-1/4 inches and did a red watercolour wash to create the flag colours. Shimmery White cardstock is fantastic for use with watercolouring techniques. After it dried, I ran it through the Big Shot in the Ruffled folder. I used the Colorful Seasons stamp which returned to the catalogue for another year. I love this set as it has images useful for all seasons and has coordinating framelits, such as the fabulous maple leaf and the Adirondack chair.
