Seashore Stampers Blog Hop - Masculine Themed

Hello everyone, I hope you are enjoying your weekend. It's sunny but terribly windy here in Victoria. Great for the Swiftsure International Yacht Race though. Browsing through the new Annual Catalouge, I came across the cards featured for the Tranquil Textures suite. I just love the octopus and all the images from the stamp set -- so West Coast. Here is the card I designed. I think the idea of an octopus peeking in a port hole came to me after watching a fictitious movie called Goliath Awaits. It's not about an octopus actually, but rather an interesting story of a passenger liner sunk by a German U-boat. It was  discovered 42 years later by a research vessel only to find 339 people still alive. I digress but it was a fascinating watch.  I decided to create the Captain's office and used the Wood Textures DSP to create the panelled wall with a shelf holding ocean treasures.
