Sunday's Class

Image
Hello everyone, My apologies that this class project is getting to you so late but I ran out of the Night of Navy cardstock. Luckily I was able to get my hands on a few more sheets and was able to finish it. I'm calling this project the Perpetual Calendar Card Keeper. It's designed to hold 12 calendar inserts. Each insert has up to 31 lines on which you write the names of those you want to send a birthday card to. There are no days of the week associated with the calendar numbers which means you can use this year after year. This will be a handy reminder of upcoming birthdays so you can made your cards ahead of time. I'm keeping mine on my desk. The class runs from 1-4 this Sunday and the cost is $25.00. There will be some selection of colours to choose from. At the end of the class, I will give you the template so you can make another one to give as a gift. Please email me to register.

Video for Week of January 12

I received my first products from the Occasions Catalogue and made a card using the Sheltering Tree stamp set, item #137163. It's a versatile set as you can make cards for all seasons and speaking of seasons, wouldn't it be nice to make a set of four cards to give as a gift. I'll have to do just that. Anyway here is the video. Enjoy!

Colour Fun

Have you ever sat down to create a card and thought - hmmmm, what colours should I pick? You may start with a colour but are not sure what would go nicely together. Well, I found a unique site that I want to share with you. It's called My Create Ink Color Lab . It allows you to select the current Stampin' Up! colours and add them to a palette so you can see which colours go together. You can select from all the colours or select the colours from a particular colour family - Brights, Subtles, Regals, Neutrals, In Colors or Retired.  Start by picking a colour from the left-hand side and it is added to the palette. Continue adding up to five colours. Don't like what you've picked? Click the Start Over button. It has a database of colour combinations to choose from as well. Lots of fun. Give it a try.
